The Initial Start

The company was founded by two brothers, Billy and Beverly Dolan, inside their small garage in Augusta, Georgia. After much trial and error, in 1954, they successfully created their first golf cart using a 24-volt motor. As their invention gained in popularity, they moved the production to Grovetown, Georgia, where they teamed up with Paul Corley, who helped them assemble their machines.

 

The Company Sold

In 1960, E-Z-GO joined Textron Inc., where they became committed and focused on making environmentally-friendly practices throughout every stage of production. Presently, they operate under a division called Textron Specialized Vehicle, where E-Z-GO produces high-quality golf carts with innovative technology.
